JOB DESCRIPTION: Injection Molding Maintenance Technician      

 

Job Summary: We are looking for an Injection Molding Room Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. The successful candidate will perform mold and tooling changes, make setup adjustments on molding machines, and ensure that equipment operates effectively to achieve optimal product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Set up, start up, and troubleshoot jobs within the molding department.

·         Perform mold and material changes as directed by the supervisor.

·         Conduct basic maintenance tasks on machinery as needed.

·         Support process improvements and cycle time optimizations.

·         Maintain departmental equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.

·         Verify machine processes daily to ensure consistent quality.

·         Operate a forklift safely and in accordance with safety protocols.

·         Collaborate with machine operators, quality department, and molding supervisor.

·         Diagnose and repair minor maintenance issues on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.

·         Conduct necessary inspections and measurements to ensure part quality.

·         Maintain 5S standards within the work area.

·         Support molding team to help drive success.

·         Support SMED processes.

 

Requirements:

·         Excellent attendance and reliability.

·         Effective communication abilities.

·         Physical mobility to perform various tasks, including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

·         Ability to work safely in a production environment with moving mechanical parts.

·         Willingness to work overtime as needed.

·         Looking for someone with a strong mechanical ability and adaptability to learn and grow within an injection molding department.

·         Must be organized, eager to learn, have a teamwork mentality and a drive to produce quality work.

·         Have attention to details within a fast-paced work environment.
