Job description

What a Night on the Floor Looks Like

When your shift starts, you head to your assigned press, review the work instructions and master samples, and scan any process alerts or procedure updates. You open the machine gate, remove newly molded parts, trim them, and inspect each one against the MCP before any parts move to packing. You’ll keep production humming by running the machine steadily, lending a hand at nearby workstations when needed, and performing any secondary operations or rework required to keep quality on track.

Throughout the night, you document your output: counts of conforming parts, scrap/rejects, and any downtime. Your goal? Consistently beat our production standards while never compromising quality or safety. Before the shift ends, you package finished goods exactly as directed in the MCP, and you leave every press area neat, safe, and organized with strong 5S housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tend injection molding machines: open gate, remove and trim parts, and verify quality before packing.
  • Conduct in-process inspections in accordance with the MCP; perform secondary operations and rework as needed.
  • Operate assigned equipment and assist at other workstations to support team throughput.
  • Record production metrics: good parts, nonconforming parts, and downtime; strive to exceed standards.
  • Package products per MCP requirements.
  • Read and follow operating manuals, work instructions, master samples, process alerts, and procedures.
  • Maintain clean, orderly press areas with rigorous safety practices and 5S housekeeping.
Schedule

Third shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or GED (unless otherwise approved by Management).
  • Experience: No prior experience required—comprehensive training provided.
Skills & Attributes
  • Positive, can-do attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and apply company systems and standard procedures.
  • Comfort lifting up to 30 lbs. safely.
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal) and solid interpersonal approach.
  • Basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and sound, timely judgment.
  • Able to read and interpret company forms and documentation.
  • Open to giving and receiving constructive, appreciative feedback.
  • Willing to participate in job development training.
