i.g. Burton is looking to add qualified Automotive Service Technicians to fulfill repair, warranty, and maintenance orders on vehicles. Technicians will enjoy state-of-the-art facility offering the latest technological advance. We run an honest shop and need honest, hard-working techs. To be a success at our dealership, you need to have solid skills and solid ethics. We also know that to keep a good service tech, a dealership has to treat them right by paying them well and offering room for learning and advancement. Our techs need to have the ability to perform accurate and efficient professional diagnostic inspections, repair work, ensure proper completion of work, follow protocols by manufacturer and the dearlship.

Job Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose vehicles ustilizing system diagnostices and testing
• Discuss repairs with shop foreman or service advisor
• Communicate additional service requests to service advisor
• Maintain safety standards at all time and quality repair work
• Provide labor estimates to service advisor
• Monitor repair time and update service advisor
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
• Provide clear communication (both written and verbal) to service advisor and management
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, honesty and consistant appropriate behavior
• Attend company and factory training
• A.S.E certification preferred
• Need to be able to lift, bend, stand, and move without impairment and operate shop tools
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
