Staff Accountant

We are assisting our Massillon based client with the search for a Staff Accountant.

We are seeking a career goal setting Staff Accountant who wants to be a leader and grow within a great company!

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, the willingness to grow, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties:

- Prepare and maintain financial record and reports in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Manage and process all accounts payable and receivables.
- Monthly customer statement preparation and collection effort as needed.
- Conduct month-end closing of the general ledger.
- Prepare bank account and other reconciliations.
- Manage productivity/quality analysis and reporting including daily/weekly/monthly reports/Excel spreadsheets (daily metrics, monthly breakeven analysis, etc.).

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Ideally seeking accountant early in their career (1 year of experience).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP including accrual accounting and financial reporting principles.
- ERP experience.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
