Job Title: Cyclone Achievement Program Lead Teacher

Job Description:

The Cyclone Achievement Program (CAP) teacher will be responsible for assisting students in using online courses to fulfill the necessary requirements for graduation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong understanding of online learning platforms. The CAP teacher will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure the academic success of each student. Candidates must demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver online courses to help students meet graduation requirements.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and school staff to create individualized
• graduation plans.
• Assist studentswith completion of appropriate online courses based on their
• academic goals and interests.
• Provide guidance and support to students throughout the online learning process.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Identify and address any technical issues or challenges that students may encounter
• with online learning platforms.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a seamless transition between online and in-person learning.

Requirements:

• Must hold a degree in Education.
• Must be currently certified as a teacher in Tennessee.
• Strong knowledge of online learning platforms and educational technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
• Patience and empathy to support students through challenges.
• Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple students and courses.
• Flexibility to adjust teaching methods and schedules as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job requires lifting of objects that exceed 50 lbs., or the average weight of a child, if assigned to elementary grades, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. or more. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows pushing and/or pulling; climbing; stooping, kneeling and/or crawling; reaching; talking; hearing; and seeing.

TEMPERAMENT (Personal traits):

Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task toanother of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Adaptability to making generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory judgmental criteria.

JOB & BENEFITS:

This position is a fulltime teaching position, requiring an active and valid Tennessee teacher's license. This position is 10 months and has employee benefits.
