A prestigious Dermatology Office located in Owings Mills, MD is currently looking for an experienced Front Office Medical Receptionist to work for a surgical and cosmetic physician practice. We are looking for someone who can work full time, and can start immediately. Pay rate is dependent upon experience.
You will thrive in our practice if you are personable, enthusiastic, and possess strong customer service and product sales skills (earn bonus money). Are you detailed-oriented and organized? Do others describe you as hones, reliable, and prompt? If so, you will EXCEL at our practice as we value integrity, hard work and reliability.
Our receptionist performs a variety of front and back office tasks and duties, including but not limited to: answering phone calls, scheduling appointment, greeting patients, collecting payments, corresponding with patients, keeping the reception area neat and tidy and other adhoc duties as required to ensure patient satisfaction.
This is full time position: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:45 am to 5:30pm
Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet patients and other guests in a friendly and professional manner
Manage busy phones with efficiency, patience, and finesse, all while sounding pleasant, knowledgeable and professional
Schedule patient for consultations and procedures
Collaborate with Doctor, Physician Assistant, and Medical Assistant to provide an exceptional patient experience
Assist with administrative tasks: scanning, copying, mailing, and miscellaneous office errands
Collect and process cash and credit card payments, both in person and over the phone
Help maintain a beautiful office
Verify medical insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations
Other responsibilities as assigned
Key Qualities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills including professional email and phone etiquette
Must have experience working in a fast paced environment and have a passion for healthcare
Attention to detail
Consistently on time and reliable and able to work a 40 hour work week
Organized, detailed-oriented, and ability to multi task
Strong computer skills
Friendly and respectful with excellent people skills
Team player who can also work independently
