Job Summary:The Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) will play a crucial leadership role, driving the development and execution of investment banking transactions for financial sector clients. The role requires a combination of strong technical skills in finance and excellent management abilities to lead teams and projects effectively.
Responsibilities:- Lead the execution of M&A transactions, capital raising, and other financial advisory services for clients in the financial institutions sector.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client executives, offering strategic advice on financial matters and market trends.
- Supervise and mentor a team of associates and analysts, ensuring quality deliverables and professional development.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and create sophisticated financial models to evaluate and execute transactions.
- Manage the preparation and presentation of pitch books and other client materials.
- Negotiate terms and collaborate with stakeholders across complex transactions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the financial sector.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and contribute to thought leadership within the financial institutions market.
- Drive business development efforts, identifying new client opportunities and expanding the firm's presence in the FIG sector.
- MBA or equivalent degree in Finance, Economics, or related field from a top-tier institution.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of investment banking experience, with a significant focus on the financial institutions sector.
- Proven track record in leading transaction execution, from inception to closure.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of the regulatory environment affecting financial institutions.
