Technician II

This position will teardown, clean, assemble and calibrate one product line or tear down and clean at least three product lines.

SKILL LEVEL Perform job duties and responsibilities without limited supervision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teardown, clean, assemble and calibrate any one Diesel Engine Fuel Injection component, such as fuel injection pumps and injectors or tear down and clean at least three Fuel Injection components product lines.
• Uses chemical and mechanical methods to clean incoming fuel injection components.
• Teardown of cleaned components using hand and small power tools as needed.
• Uses various tools and equipment to assemble fuel injection components.
• Uses various tools and equipment to test fuel injection components.
• Uses measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and indicators.
• Uses computer systems and software to control test processes and record data.
• Must follow documented procedures and work instructions.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a diesel fuel shop preferable. High school diploma or GED, College or trade school automotive repair training and good mechanical aptitude highly desirable with a willingness to learn.
• Uses all required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Follows all required company Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• This is a stand-up position that requires standing at a work bench while working.
