The hours for this position are:

Monday & Friday, 8am-3:30pm with 1/2 hour lunch

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 11am-7pm with 1 hour lunch

Position Overview

SNAP (STOP NOW AND PLAN) Lead reports to the SNAP Program Supervisor and is a non-exempt position. The SNAP Lead is a position which focuses on early intervention program for youth, ages 6 – 11, who are engaging in aggressive, anti-social behavior. This position is the first point of contact for youth and families and for the day-to-day aspects of the SNAP Program. The Lead provides administrative support for the Group Facilitators, Specialists, and Supervisor.

  • Knowledge of SNAP Program Policies, Procedures and Performance Standards

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Occupation specific tasks and the most important generalized work activities are listed for SNAP Lead:

  • Assists the SNAP Program Supervisor with implementation/updates of policies, procedures, and performance standards for the Program.
  • Monitors and ensures accurate and timely completion of all documentation for programmatic, administrative, compliance and fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversees the intakes, case management, and therapeutic work with youth and families, including client related case management decision and therapeutic interventions, as needed.
  • Coordinates evaluation and monitoring of the SNAP Program to ensure compliance with Florida Network contract requirements.
  • Responsible for NETMIS, JJIS (including PAT), and ASBEA data entry within 24-hours or the required time frame.
  • Participates in community activities to promote the SNAP Program and to build collaboration with community partners.
  • Provides services as needed that may include crisis intervention and assisting parents and professionals.
  • Participates in monthly team meetings, bi-weekly consultations, and staff meetings.
  • Attends required training as determined by the SNAP Program contract.
  • Responsible for completion of training objectives within the established timeframe.
  • Implements program curriculum as directed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the Florida Department of Education in psychology, sociology, or social work and/or demonstrated experience in one of these fields; or related volunteer and/or work experience may be substituted. A minimum of 1 year of related experience in social services or juvenile justice.
