Position: Fabrication Tig & Mig Welder
Reports To: Fabrication Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reliable, hardworking, dedicated individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment. This individual must have experience with both tig and mig, steel, aluminum and stainless welding and have strong attention to detail to ensure excellent quality. This position is a critical part of the fabrication process.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Experienced in both tig and mig welding (steel, aluminum and stainless) with tight tolerances
Read, interpret, and follow blueprints and production drawings to ensure precise weld
Cut appropriate holes per layout instructions
Support and adhere to all welding safety guidelines and standards
Regularly communicate with co-workers at other work stations to ensure schedules are met
Maintain a clean work area
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Working knowledge and understanding of basic production documents (ex. Bill of materials, diagrams, etc)
Exceptional attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Effectively communicate and understand instructions both verbally and written in English language
Accurately read tape measure
Use of hand tools, grinder, end grinder and drill presses
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide until of measure using whole numbers & fractions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to stand for long periods of time with constant kneeling, crouching, bending & twisting
Able to work in a well-ventilated but non climate controlled manufacturing facility
Travel from work area to other locations in the facility to gather parts
Manual dexterity
Requires clear vision at close range and good depth perception
Able to lift 50 lbs on daily basis
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a full-time position. Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm. 40 hours per week. Occasional work on Fridays may be required and are based on production needs.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent related experience
Understanding of Manufacturing processes preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience with both tig/mig welding preferred
