International Logistics Coordinator

Purpose/Job Function:

The International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for clerical duties associated with international shipping such as handling documentation, carrier and customer invoices and collaborating with the Logistics Account Managers to ensure smooth movement of daily operations. In addition, this role is responsible to uphold our core values: Ethics, Engagement, and Excellence.

Essential Functions:

• Efficiently process all documentation pertaining to the movement of international freight to ensure all the shipments in transit are moving smoothly and compliantly.
• Handling carrier and vendor invoices and ensuring they are posted in our TMS, approved and passed on to the Payables team timely.
• Manage activities involving customer billing, accurately following quoted rates and ensuring timely completion of the activities, including all processes set forth in the customer SOP.
• Tracking shipments as necessary and performing shipments related activities and maintain accurate records.
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring them to proper channels for resolution.
• Handling the pricing functions for the department and effectively liaise with other teammates and carriers and respond to customers timely.
• Follow customer SOPs and department guidelines, resolve billing discrepancies and discrepancies against client SOPs.

Education/Experience:

• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize and reorganize workload to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Be a quick learner and able to apply concepts taught to other situations.
• A basic level of experience in an office environment and familiarity with MS Office suite of products and ability to handle communication with carriers independently. Experience in a logistics environment would be a bonus, though not necessary.
• Effective interpersonal and strong communication skills. Must have the ability to type at least 30-35 words per minute.
• Must be a team player who is able to effectively collaborate with others to achieve results with a focus on customer satisfaction.
