Joining a clinic with its own unique identity is like a cross-country car ride with your ears flapping in the breeze.  Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Client Care Specialist at our front desk. The target schedule for this role is Sunday 8a-6p, Monday 9a-7p, Tuesday 9a-7p and Friday 9a-7p; availability for this schedule is required.

Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level one certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a helical 16-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC has well-staffed departments in Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology, Rehab and Acupuncture and great team of emergency clinicians and criticalists to offer advanced services to a well-educated client base.        

Client Care Specialist

$19-23/hour based on experience and availability 
     

Eligible for quarterly bonuses under Rarebreed’s profit-sharing program, which has the same zing as a hundred pounds of fresh cat nip.      

WHAT YOU’LL DO       

  • Greet customers as they arrive, and act as the main contact point for the hospital. 

  • Provide day-to-day client services of the front office and support staff throughout the office. 

  • Answer a busy multi-line phone system and transfer calls to relevant departments. 

  • Schedule and manage appointments for the hospital. 

  • Resolve informal client issues and maintain and report on these issues to the Client Services Supervisor. 

  • Make decisions on behalf of the department, utilizing good judgment, in the best interest of the hospital and the clients. 

  • Maintenance of reporting tools and queries needed to manage the business, including email, inter-hospital communications, and practice management software. 

  • Responsible for inventory of supplies and informing Client Services Supervisor when supplies are needed

REQUIREMENTS        

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience  

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service required: prior veterinary experience desired but not required. 

  • Strong organizational skills. 

  • Strong client relations and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong technical and computer skills. 

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and attention to detail. 

  • Self-starter and team player. 

  • Strong client service background.
