The Social Worker is a member of the Behavioral Health team providing short-term services to patients and families with behavioral and/or psychiatric needs. Partners with primary care providers to establish a plan of care.

Position Description

Provides short-term services to assist patients and families/significant others cope with personal, financial, psychosocial and environmental problems associated with the patient's medical and/or psychiatric diagnosis and/or changes in their medical condition. Knowledge and experience in working with specific patient populations that may include but are not limited to: children, frail elderly, vulnerable adults, victims of interpersonal violence and sexual assault, uninsured and financially marginalized patients, drug addicted infants and mothers, patients impacted by mental illness or chemical dependency.

Education and/or Experience

Required

• Washington State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
• Two years MSW experience in health care setting preferred.

Schedule

0.6 FTE; 24 hours/week; Day Shift
