Who we need: 

Due to growth, we have opened a new role and are searching for a QA Manager to join our crew. As our ideal QA Manager, you will drive testing and automation, collaborating closely with engineering, product management, design, and cross-functional product development teams. You will act as both an individual contributor and mentor to other QA Specialists within the team, working to ensure that test case coverage is complete and operates through Agile/SCRUM methodology and ensure that the QA processes and standards are being exercised across the team consistently. 

**This is a REMOTE position, based in the U.S. Quarterly travel to Atlanta will be required.** Eligible states of residence:  AL, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MD, ME, PA, TX, WI

What you’ll do: 

  • Create and define processes for test plan creation, review, and execution. 
  • Develop and execute manual, exploratory, regression, and automated tests to ensure product quality. 
  • Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved 
  • Identify risks and appropriate test coverage to validate new features and regression. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of all Brightwell’s products to understand various configurations and how they will affect test cases. 
  • Understand the business aspects, as well as the ways the customers are using the system, and check if the system is performing as it should. 
  • Use Azure Devops tools to create, maintain, track and execute test cases as well as use the work item/defect tracking tools. 
  • Lead team of near-shore QA contractors and work as a member of a geographically dispersed project team. 
  • Fully integrate into scrum ceremonies in order to accurately estimate, plan and coordinate testing activities. 
  • Drive and take ownership of automated testing initiative. 
  • Take on other projects, as assigned. 

As QA Manager, you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 
  • Strong core experience in various phases of Quality Assurance processes including functional testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, automation testing, performance testing, and mobile testing 
  • 5+ years of QA experience including writing and executing test plans. 
  • 3+ years of experience leading QA process. 
  • Experience with QA automation and building automated regression testing capabilities using current technologies and tools such as Katalon, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or other QA automation tools. 
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. 
  • Experience of agile delivery using scrum and understanding of agile processes.  
  • Initiative to think of and participate in new ways to improve the QA team, pushing the team to continuously innovate. 
  • A passion for process automation and software quality. 
  • Ability to take ownership of your work. 

We’ll give you extra credit for: 

  • Familiar with CI/CD processes 
  • Experience with Azure DevOps 
  • Experience with authoring and running SQL queries 
  • FinTech or banking client experience.
