Basic Job Functions:
A NCF QA Lab Technician is instrumental in ensuring that the customer receives a consistent, quality product in a timely manner. The primary responsibility of a QA Lab Technician is to prepare and execute the testing of samples taken from the NCF production process. The samples may be for determining mechanical properties, inclusions, ormicrostructural analysis. The QA Lab Technician will also become an internal IS0/IATF 16949 auditor and have the opportunity to take on other various projects as time allows. Hours will be based on business conditions. If business conditions or customer demands Increase/decrease, hours will be adjusted accordingly. Weekend and holiday work will be scheduled as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.) Must be able to operate various equipment and machinery including specialized testing equipment and job-related machinery or hand tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior lab experience.
2. Previous experience in steel or manufacturing related industry.
3. Industrial mechanical abilities.
4. Working knowledge of D365 functionality.
