Description 

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas. 

You will manage the final build operations within our Vancouver facility. You will oversee the engine, pump, and trailer/skid completions in the most efficient manner, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. You will provide direction, development and leadership to floor associates. You will work with the management team and oversee everything that happens on the Assembly shop floor. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure Assembly operates with accuracy and production efficiency being the primary goals, by supervising, organizing, directing, training employees and establishing processes. 
  • A desire to take the Assembly department to a higher level in safety, quality, and efficiency. 
  • Manage and train the Assembly team to solve daily operational issues and reach short and long-term performance goals. 
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure timelines are met and monitor the production schedule. 
  • Review workflow, staffing and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met. 
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by complying with safety and legal regulations. 
  • Schedule and oversee the Assembly team to meet the demands of production, by working with Managers and other Supervisors, and coordinate with other departments to ensure production goals are met. 
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance. 
  • Help with incremental continuous improvement projects. 
  • Bring solutions and ideas for improvements to processes. 
  • Provide support and mentor direct reports through hands-on training and developmental growth plans, as well as taking ownership of team performance reviews. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years' experience leading or supervising industrial equipment manufacturing operations. 
  • Provable knowledge of diesel machinery and industrial pumps, as well as fabricated structural steel components. 
  • Able to read and understand engine and pump technical specifications. 
  • High school diploma or GED, some college. 

 

Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and background check 

 

Accommodation 

Employees must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are occasionally required to kneel or stoop. 

While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate noise levels.
