Our Community Health Clinic is now hiring a Temporary Clinic Manager in San Clemente, CA!
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Clinic Director, the Outpatient Community Health Clinic Manager oversees the seamless delivery of medical, behavioral health, and dental services with a focus on exceptional customer service. They manage telecommunications and electronic health records systems, while also supervising medical and dental support staff. Maximizing appointment scheduling, ensuring accurate patient check-ins, and facilitating registration for various programs are key responsibilities. Additionally, the Clinic Manager leads process improvement initiatives to enhance the clinic’s care delivery model and fosters positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily activities of medical and dental support staff, resolving routine issues independently and collaborating with department directors.
- Ensure high-quality customer service both in-person and over the phone, monitoring clinic schedules to optimize patient access and productivity goals.
- Oversee patient appointment scheduling and registration processes, adhering to clinic protocols and payer requirements.
- Manage health information clerks to ensure timely and accurate processing of records, maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
- Evaluate staff performance, provide guidance for development, and participate in recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Assist in administrative tasks such as program audits, vaccine procurement, and IT support.
- Maintain awareness of organization-wide activities and uphold the clinic’s mission, vision, and values.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
- Prior supervisory experience and excellent customer service skills required.
- Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Prior experience in outpatient primary care settings and familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Environment: This role operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment. While primarily sedentary, occasional physical tasks may be required.
