Title: IT Security Analyst – Information Technology

Location: Exton PA area (on site)

Reports to: Senior Director of IT Infrastructure

Position/Job Summary:

This position is part of IT security team to ensure the security of the company, to be compliance with ISO 27001, HIPPA, FISMA, NIST, GDPR and other appropriate industry standards, to support the organizational strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Protects system and information by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources and establishing guidelines, policies, and standard processes for keeping information secure.
• Develop and implement security strategy, disaster recovery plan and business continuity plan.
• Define backup policies and monitor backups for completion and viability.
• Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities and reports violations.
• Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
• Recommend and implement new technology and upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports and communications of system status.
• Maintains all security tools and technology and quality service by following organization standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Monitor all operations and infrastructure including going through alerts and logs of computer systems, video surveillance, etc. to keep an eye on company’s digital security footprint.
• Monitor internal and external policy compliance and regulation compliance.
• Audit policies and controls continuously.
• Ensure cybersecurity stays on the organizational radar and detail out the security incident response program.
• Work with different departments in the organization to reduce risks.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
• Since this individual will be dealing with lots of company & employee related information, expected to demonstrate highest confidentiality.

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experienced in implementation of Check Point system or similar security system to protect gateways, emails, endpoints, mobile devices, etc.
• Has experience in requirements and process of ISO 27001 certification.
• Has extended experience in system administration, network security, problem solving, network troubleshooting, firewall administration, such as Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, and Cisco, Checkpoint, or Fortinet, etc.
• Be proficient in regulations and guidelines on IT security and data privacy such as HIPPA, FISMA, NIST, GDPR, etc.
• Experience in current backup and digital maintenance technology and can move quickly.
• Able to identify risks during technology projects for hardware or software upgrades.
• Able to measure risks and vulnerabilities and report different compliance issues, verification processes, and policy violations.
• An effective communicator and team player.
