Live In Housekeeper

Position Summary

This incredible opportunity for a live-in housekeeper entails a full-time commitment of over 40 plus hours per week. The main responsibility is to meticulously uphold the cleanliness standards of our clients' luxurious private residence on a daily basis. This role demands attention to detail and a professional demeanor to navigate the balance between living and working in the household. Alongside regular housekeeping tasks, the position involves providing morning assistance to dress and feed the families' 7 and 9 year olds before they depart for school. Fluency in English is a requirement for applicants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent care and results in an efficient manner

• Develop and maintain positive communication with the family and all other staff in house.

• Cleaning residence according to standards set forth by homeowners- to include, but not limited to the following:

  • Daily-

    • Ensuring children are up, dressed, and fed before they need to leave for school.

    • Vacuuming, dusting, wiping down all surfaces (including walls, shelves, frames, jars, baseboards, etc), washing floors,

    • Clean out milk in coffee makers

    • Laundry - wash, fold and put away in appropriate place

    • Trash taken out- kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms

    • Toilet paper and tissues replenished in all bathrooms

    • Outdoor Maintenance- check to clean - all chairs, tables, playhouse

    • House should be put together in all rooms by EOD

    • Children’s sport bags put back together and hung appropriately

    • Turn down beds / Spray all rooms with linen or room spray daily

    • Drawers, closets, & cabinets opened, cleaned and maintained

    • Dishes cleaned and put away

  • Weekly projects on a daily schedule

    • Deep cleaning bathrooms

    • Bedding changed

    • Dishwasher, laundry machine and dryer cleaned out

    • Brass and silver polished and cleaned

    • Pantry organized and cleaned

    • Pets bedding, food and water bowl washed weekly

  • As Needed

    • Refrigerator and Freezer ORGANIZED and cleaned

    • Pantry and Fridge stocked

    • Dry cleaning - separate appropriately, put away when it returns

    • Special projects as assigned

• Multitask, organize and prioritize tasks on an hourly and daily basis

• Perform job duties with attention to detail, speed and efficiency

• Maintain confidentiality of all client information

Education and Work Experience

• One year minimum related experience required as a Housekeeper, Houseman or Cleaner. Private home cleaning and hospitality experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25-30.00 per hour based on experience level

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Day shift

• Some nights & weekends
