Are you interested in finding a new position in the Ames area? Our client is looking for qualified candidates to be considered for their open Admin Clerk—Parks & Rec position. The applicant who fulfills this position should have strong computer skills. Apply today if this job interests you!

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as frontline customer service contact
  • Review, forward, or file documents sent to the department
  • Prepare summary reports and manage departmental projects
  • Compose, save, and distribute meeting minutes
  • Respond to customer requests and attend to any issues and/or complaints
  • Create and organize meeting documents, such as packets and minutes, complete notifications, and maintain records
  • Assist with departmental web pages and monitor outgoing communications

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required, AA or BA preferred
  • 3+ years of administrative/office support experience
  • Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office suite, typing of at least 40 WPM, and the ability to toggle between multiple screens
  • Support-oriented, professional, organized, and willing to learn
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, or billing is a plus

Work Model:

  • On-Site
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
