What is JetZero?

Today's aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.

JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

This is why we're hiring a Systems Engineer. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Systems Engineering Processes and Deliverables. This position requires experience across all aspects of System Engineering.

What You'll Do

Requirements Management - Manage multiple levels of requirements for the aircraft programs. This includes establishing traceability between requirements, identification of Validation and Verification (V&V) methods for requirements, and coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for requirements authoring.

System Modeling- Develop system behavior models utilizing SysML tools (CAMEO or similar) to enable validation of requirements and system interfaces enabling validation in the Model Based Design (MBD) environment.

Validation and Verification (V&V)- Directly support the Engineering, Integration Lab, and Flight Test teams including development of V&V test plans. Generate V&V summary reports and matrix artifacts.

System Engineering Process Planning and Implementation- Maintain and refine System Engineering Processes and Planning Documents in accordance with SAE ARP 4754 and ARP4761

Systems Safety- Support implementation of Safety Processes and Safety analysis development per ARP4761. Work with Safety experts and system SMEs to develop safety requirements.

Experience
Familiar with:

• SAE ARP 4754A and ARP4761 Industry Standards
• FAA Part 25/EASA CS-25 Aircraft Regulations
• RTCA DO-160G, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-331

Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university.

5-10 years experience in Systems Engineering in the Aerospace Industry

Experience with software tools such as Siemens TeamCenter, SiemensNX, CAMEO, MATLAB Simulink, MATLAB System Composer, and MS Office Products preferred.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
