Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pediatric care and possess excellent clinical skills. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families by providing comprehensive healthcare services. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients, including physical examinations, medical histories, and developmental screenings. Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work, x-rays, and imaging studies. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Provide patient education and counseling to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention. Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment. Perform minor procedures, such as suturing lacerations and administering vaccinations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for pediatric patients. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to clinical protocols. Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Pediatrics or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from an accredited program. Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in VA. Board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) preferred. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
