Job Description

This position would require relocation to Panama City, FL.

Panama City is located on the Emerald Coast of Florida that is well-known for its pristine beaches, beautiful sunsets, fresh seafood, and cultural experiences where our practice has been serving the community for over 25 years. We are seeking a Neurologist to help provide high-quality integrated healthcare to people suffering from neuro-musculoskeletal injuries and chronic conditions. We offer full consultations, testing, and follow-up appointments for the full scope of outpatient neurology services such as neurocognitive testing, EMG, and nerve conduction studies. JOB RESPONSBILITIES

  • Perform detailed neurological examinations to assess cognitive function, motor skills, sensory abilities, cranial nerves, and autonomic functions
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including EEG, EMG, NCS and neuroimaging studies like MRI and CT scans, to confirm diagnosis and formulate treatment plans.
  • Provide personalized support and advocacy for patients’ needs and rights, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and advancements in medical research and treatment options in neurology and related medical fields.
  • Prescribe and/or administer treatment and medication related to neurological disorders
  • Provide patient-centered care rooted in evidence-based medicine
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and progress in a timely manner
  • Order supportive care services for patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions and treatment options
  • Others duties as deemed necessary to ensure the ultimate care and safety of patients

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida
  • Board Certified in Neurology
  • Board Certified in Electro Myelography (EMG)
  • DEA license
  • Seasoned professional with a clinical background in highly complex medical conditions
  • Excellent clinical assessment skills
  • Empathetic and compassionate nature
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs) and relevant software
  • Ability to perform, read EMG, NCS, EEG
  • Must pass a background check
