Responsibilities for lead mechanic

• Work with Division Manager to complete projects

• Coordinates lock-out tag-out policy for entire Transfer Stations

• Compiles data from LEDs reports for documentation purposes

• Installation, inspection and maintenance of chilled water related water pumps, valves, regulators, check valves, electric and pneumatic            controls, gear boxes, related energy management equipment

• Ability to handle physical requirements

• Provide preventative maintenance (including repair and cleaning) for any HVAC unit, including (but not limited to) belts, grease bearings,        motors, filters, and vents

• Keep accurate log of preventative maintenance work performed for each building

  Services, adjusts, and tunes a variety of equipment such as engines, motors, pumps, valves, control systems, boilers, heat exchangers,          and chemical feed systems.

Qualifications for lead mechanic

• Working with manufacturing standards (e.g., knowing current standards, staying up-to-date with the latest technology, having experience        working with electronics)

• Repairing heavy trucks (e.g., working on tractor-trailers, brakes, tires, engines for 10 bays trucks to 18 wheelers)

• Repairing light trucks (e.g., trucks, vans, support vehicles)

• Minimum of one (1) year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical

• Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude

• 4 years of technical and supervisory experience in building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of repair and building     maintenance (6 years of experience, preferred)
