Transmission Builder Supervisor

This position is responsible for overseeing our transmission builder department. Applicant must be organized, detailed oriented, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Mass production transmission remanufacturer is looking for an experienced Manual Transmission and Transfer Case builder manager. Must have experience with domestic rear wheel drive and four-wheel drive manual transmissions and domestic transfer cases. Must have own tools. Salary dependent on experience. REQUIREMENTS:

· Basic Transmission knowledge

· Able to trouble shoot for any dyno/warranty failures

· Ensure operators are fully trained, on schedule, to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

· Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, morale, and continuous improvement activities to achieve positive results.

· Analyze data regarding production numbers, product mix, and quality performance to monitor employee performance and bonus plan.

· Catch and report quality issues to Supervisor

· Assist maintenance personnel in identifying mechanical issues

· Basic understanding of transmissions, able to tear down and build

· Strong work ethic and hands on approach to work

· Maintain a clean work area

· Produce 2+ parts per shift

· Complete basic machine PM’s

· Regular full-time attendance is essential

· Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

· Must be able to stand throughout the work day.

· MRP experience a plus, Transmission experience a plus.
