Job Description
PeopleConnect is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our award-winning team to support our People Search division. This position reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager for PeopleConnect. Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Reconcile multi-company accounts, assist with financial reporting, and month-end close procedures.

  • Record monthly journal entries and perform reconciliations of several General Ledger accounts, including cash, credit cards, prepaid expenses, and various accruals.

  • Categorize GL transactions with the proper account, department, and subsidiary coding.

  • Accurately reconcile various bank accounts and credit cards.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and other financial reports to support decision-making.

  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and supporting schedules.

  • Collaborate with other departments to obtain any missing receipts for credit card transactions.

  • Research and resolve any discrepancies; book adjusting journal entries as needed.

  • Prepare and file monthly Sales Tax Returns.

  • Assist the Accounting Manager with ongoing maintenance of the expense receipt management software.

  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • 1-3 years of directly related accounting experience, with a rapidly-growing company is preferred.

  • High proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas).

  • Solid experience with GL reconciliations, extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience using accounting software; knowledge of Oracle Fusion and Expensify is a plus.

  • Superb accuracy and strong attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with a desire to consistently meet goals and deadlines.

  • Driven to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

  • Discretion to maintain confidentiality and privacy of operational and financial results.

  • Flexibility in hours as required for deliverable deadlines.


Salary Range:


Min: $74,200

Mid: $82,100

Max: $90,900


The pay range reflects the salary amount the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position. It is not a guarantee of actual compensation or a specific payment amount to any candidate. The actual compensation will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, a particular candidate’s experience and qualifications.
