POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Analyst is responsible for aiding the Business Development team in conducting real time analysis of asset success and projecting future performance through various models and metrics. This includes, but is not limited to analyzing asset operations, monthly financials, as well as identifying trends to forecast cash flow improvement initiatives.

Your primary role will be to proactively analyze potential new business opportunities through market research and proforma underwriting, and to engage with operations team members, brokers, and clients to strategize improved operations and sell Elmington. Once a new relationship is secured, you will serve a vital role as a contact for the client while maintaining a strong partnership with the operations team to facilitate successful execution of the business plan.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform real time analysis of asset operations.
  • Forecast future trends and scenarios to improve operations and cash flow.
  • Monitor lease up velocity and delivery dates, or asset performance post-onboarding, determining how it compares to underwriting proforma.
  • Opportunity to gain exposure to multiple lenses within the Real Estate Industry- construction, design, property management, project management, asset management, etc.
  • Complete and optimize internal monthly reports.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and operations teams.
  • Gather information on potential new clients for conference attendance.
  • Coordinate and execute due diligence inspections.
  • Assist the Business Development team in creating systems to enhance reporting initiatives.


SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or economics or equivalent experience in business analyst roles dependent upon the department of position
  • Multifamily underwriting experience and/or certification preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Approximately 10% of the time for trips to properties for due diligence inspections, broker tours, site visits, etc.
