As part of our commitment to excellence, we are offering a paid internship opportunity for a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) intern.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a CADC intern. This paid internship is ideal for students currently enrolled in a relevant program or considering a career in addiction counseling. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, the CADC intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing support and guidance to individuals on their journey to recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting intake assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' needs
• Participate in individual and group counseling sessions under the supervision of licensed counselors
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement personalized treatment plans
• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions on topics related to addiction, recovery, and coping skills
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance counseling skills and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant program (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling)
• Interest in pursuing a career in addiction counseling or related field
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical behavior
• Reliable and able to adhere to scheduled hours
• Willingness to learn and open to receiving feedback
• CADC intern registration preferred but not required

Pay: $36,000 - $40,000
