Your Impact:As the District Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing 5-10 high-volume convenience stores, ensuring financial performance, implementing company goals, and upholding operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Monthly training and communication with store management on performance metrics, financial reporting, and achieving profitability goals.
- Sales Growth: Increasing sales through strategic initiatives, merchandising, and marketing.
- Operational Excellence: Managing Plan-O-Gram (POG) and floor plan integrity, controlling expenses, and overseeing labor budgets.
- Customer Service: Providing and ensuring the highest levels of customer service from all team members, including self.
- Employee Development: Training and developing store managers and staff, promoting staff retention.
- Back Office Management: Handling back-office accounting, paperwork, and administrative tasks.
- Loss Prevention: Implementing measures for loss prevention, cash shortage, and inventory control.
- Facilities Management: Ensuring overall store appearance, presentation, and facilities management.
- Safety & Security: Prioritizing safety and security in all aspects of store operations.
- Compliance: Promoting the importance of maintaining compliance with responsible retailer guidelines, alcohol and tobacco sales, and food safety.
- Collaboration: Working with internal partners to ensure sales and marketing programs are implemented properly and aligned with current strategies.
- Leadership: Developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging increased productivity for staff retention.
- Performance Management: Lead and manage teams, including but not limited to coaching, discipline, reviews, etc.
- Documentation: Ensuring all necessary district paperwork and administrative tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
- Emergency Response: Responding quickly to emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees.
- Other Duties: Performing other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Region or Division Management.
- Collaboration with VP of Retail: Collaborating with the VP of Retail to ensure proper food handling, promotions, and portion control.
- Market Competitiveness: Ensuring stores remain competitive within their markets, coordinating gas price changes and evaluating pricing and promotions.
- Merchandise Placement: Overseeing merchandise placement, displays, and coordinating new store openings or closings.
- Area Meetings: Conducting area meetings a minimum of once per quarter.
- Travel: Travelling locally and as necessary, including overnight stays.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of convenience store/retail management experience.
- Retail Knowledge: Possess substantial knowledge of C-Store retail operations, including a thorough understanding of current practices and procedures, including personnel policies.
- Leadership and Coaching: Demonstrated ability in leadership and coaching, with good communication skills. Self-motivated and customer service-oriented.
- Financial Acumen: Knowledge of Financial Statements is a must.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, in English.
