Concrete Foreman

Seeking a Concrete Foreman for a direct hire opportunity with our client in West Burlington, Iowa. The ideal candidate will have expertise in supervising crews, particularly in the construction of flat walls, commercial flatwork, and pouring concrete foundations and slabs. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and measurements is essential for this role.

Salary is between $80,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate construction crews involved in concrete work.
• Oversee the construction of flat walls, commercial flatwork, and concrete foundations and slabs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, front end loaders, motor graders, and excavators as needed.
• Adhere to state specifications and maintain proficiency in mathematical calculations.
• Work varied hours, including nights, mornings, and weekends as required.
• Perform duties in all types of weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments.
• Maintain punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic at all times.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Concrete Forman in commercial construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and measurements accurately.
• Proficiency in operating construction equipment.
• Knowledge of state specifications and proficiency in mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments.
• Punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic are essential.
