Derivative Operations Analyst (45030)

Palmer Group has partnered with our local client in their search for a Derivative Operations Analyst to join their team. This individual will perform derivative trade life cycle functions and maintain relationships while supporting projects to drive the strategy of the department. Responsibilities:

• Perform data management functions to ensure appropriate flow of data into internal trade execution, booking platforms, and collateral records, as well as downstream to accounting, reporting, and other stakeholder platforms
• Update and reconcile trade bookings and legal trade documentation to ensure trades flow correctly for confirmation or to downstream systems
• Collaborate with Derivative Portfolio Management, Derivative Trading, Legal, Treasury, and Investment Accounting to support end-to-end trade processing and data management for a variety of derivative products
• Cooperate with foreign and domestic investment banks to manage settlements associated with derivative trade events, margin requirements, cash management, and collateral
• Manage third-party providers, analyzing complex issues and coordinating with them to resolve any issues that arise
• Supervise legal-document trading agreements; understanding differences among ISDAs, CSAs, MCAs, and associated agreements across different legal entities and trading partners
• Contribute and enhance a culture of prudent risk management within the team and wider organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, math, physics, computer science, or other STEM majors required
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Excel
• VBA/SQL experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great work ethic, highly detail-oriented, well-organized, assertive, and self-motivated
• Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment
