BERKELEY PROPANE COMPANY
DELIVERY/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

OBJECTIVES

To be knowledgeable of all products and services for the purpose of promoting sales and providing superior customer service.

To transport all assigned gas deliveries and other Propane products in a safe and timely manner.

To install all tanks, piping and appliances according to NFPA Pamphlet 58 and National Fuel Gas Code #54.

To perform daily account collections per procedure.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years' experience in position to gain requisite skills.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Must have knowledge of NPGA guidelines. Must have thorough knowledge of Berkeley Propane procedures, products and rates. Must have thorough understanding of safety rules and regulations.

ABILITIES & SKILLS

Must have strong interpersonal skills and maintain accurate records of customer accounts. Confidentiality imperative. Some sales experience preferred. Must have valid S.C. Commercial Driver's License with an "X" endorsement. Must obtain a dealer license within 3 years after employment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be willing and available to work on-call and call-out duties as well as irregular hours due to seasonal workload or emergencies. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and repeatedly walk, stand, sit and kneel throughout work shift.
