Bryam Concrete is recruiting for a full-time Concrete QC Technician to join our team. Based in White Plains, we are the leading producer and supplier of ready-mix concrete in southern Westchester, Putnam, and Duchess counties.
Responsibilities:
· Check temperature and air content of wet concrete
· Conduct slump tests of wet concrete and make cylinders for cylinder breaks
· Break cylinders the day after a pour and 28 days after pieces are poured
· Conduct gradation and sieve tests on various aggregates
· Adhere to safety policies and procedures
· Record necessary data for quality control files
· Document discrepancies and corrections needed on product and ensure completion
· Complete special projects as requested and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Minimum High School diploma or GED
· ACI Level 1 Field Testing Certification required
· Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
· Demonstrated critical thinking/creative problem solver
· Effective communication skills
