Director of Land Acquisition

We are seeking a Director of Land Acquisition to join our growing Homes By WestBay and Casa Fresca Homes team land acquisition team. The Director of Land Acquisition will be responsible for sourcing single-family and multifamily land deals covering Tampa Bay, FL to Fort Myers, FL.

Responsibilities include:

• In support of and in conjunction with President / VP Land:
• Planning, directing, and coordinating land acquisition activities.
• Identifying and qualifying potential land acquisitions in alignment with company goals
• Negotiating the acquisition of properties with landowners, attorneys, or brokers
• Managing the land/lot purchase contract process with outside counsel including contract amendments associated with ends of Inspection Periods and Closings.
• Developing business community relationships and scouting other avenues for possible acquisitions
• Managing and coordinating the Weekly Deal Flow meeting
• Supporting and assisting the due diligence approval process on land acquisition opportunities, including Seller communication and management during the master planning, pre-close and entitlement periods.
• Supporting the preparation of land valuation analysis and internal deal approvals, in conjunction with the Land Controller
• Assist with the preparation of and attend monthly asset review meeting.
• Compiling critical dates and other pertinent information of various land deals, from key personnel
• Perform other related duties / analysis as assigned or requested.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 6+ years experience in Homebuilding Land / Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word. GIS experience and other real estate software proficiency is a plus but not a requirement.
