Research and Development Analyst

- Purpose:
The R & D Analyst position will be more involved in detailed testing and use of equipment. Data collection as well as contribute in some analysis is expected. Successful candidate can note and recognize deviations in performance not anticipated. May occasionally have contact with internal and external customers and vendors

- Performs tests and set-up on numerous pieces of equipment, reads and understands SOPs, -Rewrites and updates them as needed
- Extracts and processes test data.
- Performs routine analysis to check accuracy, applicability, and reasonableness of test data.
- May construct components of equipment or setup nonstandard experiments.
- Employee is occasionally required to exercise independent judgment as to specific method.
- Requires occasional use of organizational and planning skills.

Supporting Research Engineers/ Managers with field trials and /or customer visits to our facility for demonstration purposes Explain the purpose of the interaction
- Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or 3-5 years related work experience preferred
- Experience:
Associates Degree or Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in an industrial R&D lab setting related to a Materials industry (ceramics, glass, refractories, metals) including experience with R&D processes, tests and product development. Bachelor’s or master’s degree with demonstrated experience in analysing data and or experience in using Electron or other advanced microscopy techniques.
- Knowledge:
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and testing procedures. Knowledge of materials science and refractory products and applications is highly desirable. Some modelling experience would be ideal.
