Looking for an energetic engineer who is ready to learn and be a part of the FMC team.
Site specific- Currently looking for a building engineer that will work at an upscale condo building in Baltimore. Engineer must be able to troubleshoot basic electrical issues and have a basic common knowledge of building systems.
Engineer will need to be on call and respond to afterhours calls occasionally. Engineers receive a minimum of four hours overtime when called back to work.

This position requires 4+ years experience in general building maintenance. Experience should include abilities such as troubleshooting basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including the knowledge of performing basic repairs to these systems. Individual to be experienced with various building HVAC systems and have the knowledge to determine if system is operating as designed. Maintenance personnel must think independently to the extent that he/she can identify problems important enough to report to the Engineering supervisor. Individual must also have the judgment to determine when a situation warrants emergency action. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to changing light bulbs and ballast, responding to tenant service requests, cleaning cooling towers, maintaining mechanical equipment, painting, understanding of the BAS system, performing opening and closing building inspections and other duties as directed. Individual participates in the safe reliable operation of a mechanical plant, performing preventive maintenance as directed and following the emergency preparedness protocols as outlined. Individual must know the basic safety precautions for the use of tools, ladders, motors, fans, and the lock out tag out procedures when working on electrical panels. This position requires some basic use of computers and software. A high school diploma, technical school apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required. Suggested Training: Controls- I – Basic, Schematics, Electrical Systems, Electric Motors, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Plant Operation, CFC Certification, OSHA Safety Training.
