As an HR Generalist, you'll play a crucial role in aligning business objectives with our talented workforce. Samet is a growing construction and real estate services company headquartered in Greensboro, NC with offices and job sites in Raleigh, Charlotte, & Wilmington, NC, Charleston, SC & Savannah, GA.

As an HR Generalist, you will provide assistance and support to Samet Associates across all regions in benefits administration, HRIS records & data management, legal/regulatory and compliance, recruitment, training & development, performance management, and Associate relations, using good customer service skills and exhibiting strong performance in all of Samet's Core Values.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general questions about benefits and resolve benefits customer service needs.
  • Prepare and deliver notifications of benefit plans, options, and packages to newly eligible Associates, and assist with enrollment.
  • Administer and track medical leave/FMLA Assist with open enrollment and benefit meetings for Associates
  • Actively seek ways to best utilize our current systems for optimal results to support employee and organizational needs in benefits, Associate development, performance management, recruitment
  • Run reports as needed to assist management and support special projects
  • Assist with invoicing process for HR department
  • Assist is maintaining federal and state regulatory compliance
  • Maintain I-9 and E-Verify compliance
  • Support and assist with pre-employment and onboarding processes
  • Perform candidate background and reference checks
  • Assist with pre-employment assessments and testing
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new Associates
  • Assist with fleet management

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field Minimum
  • 2-3 years of experience in an HR support role
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • Flexibility/adaptability to change Intellectual curiosity and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability and desire work on related or special projects
  • Experience with employment law (EEO, COBRA, HIPAA, FLSA, FMLA, etc.)
