Highway/Roadway Senior Engineer & Highway/Roadway Project Engineer

ALL-Ways Engineering is seeking an experienced Texas Department of Transportation Project Engineer/Senior Engineer to join us at our San Antonio office. Our focus is highway and roadway planning and design.

What you bring:

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering, P.E. License, 8+ years of relevant experience minimum
• Roadway Design/Task Leader experience is preferred..
• Support with Proposal preparation experience, preferred.
• Strong design knowledge in transportation is required.
• PE position requires a demonstrated leader with a broad knowledge of transportation and the processes required to develop design packages utilizing state design standards.
• Duties include oversight of the preparation of plans, technical specifications, quantity takeoffs, and construction estimates in accordance with state design manuals and standard drawings.
• Experience utilizing AASHTO, Texas MUTCD, and TxDOT standards.

Qualifications:

• EIT certificate or Professional Engineer (PE) in TX required.
• 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Open Roads and Open Bridge Designer (Preferred), MicroStation, ProjectWise, Bluebeam.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
• Technical understanding of highway/roadway design standards including horizontal and vertical geometrics, drainage, utilities, traffic signals, signing, lighting, erosion and sediment control practices, stormwater management, and specifications

Performance Expectations:

• PE will manage the work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required.
• Complete other duties as required/assigned.
• Provide input to develop project-specific safety plans implement project safety plans and ensure compliance with all Federal, state, and local safety rules and regulations.
• Read and interpret technical documents required for project execution.

• Office hours on-site are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime as needed to meet project demands.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus (payable at 3, 6 and 12 months)
• Excellent compensation, bonuses bringing compensation up to $75,000 to $115,000 per year or more. Depending on the level of experience
