Product Line Manager - Drilling Fluid Control Valves

As a Product Line Manager (PLM) for engineered products, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our Drilling Fluid Handling product portfolio. You’ll be responsible for managing market and developing mud gate valves, drill pipe float valves, engineered products, ensuring their strategic alignment with business goals, and maximizing profitability. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy and Roadmap:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for Drilling fluid handling equipment.
• Create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.
2. Market Analysis:
• Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and industry developments to inform product decisions.
3. Product Development:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, and sales) to define product requirements.
• Drive the product development process from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
4. Pricing and Profitability:
• Set pricing strategies based on cost analysis, market positioning, and competitive factors.
• Monitor product profitability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize margins.
5. Lifecycle Management:
• Manage the entire product lifecycle, including introduction, growth, maturity, and end-of-life phases.
• Make data-driven decisions regarding product enhancements, updates, or discontinuations.
6. Sales Enablement:
• Work closely with sales teams to provide product training, collateral, and support.
• Assist in customer presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations.
7. Performance Metrics:
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product line and track performance against targets.
• Regularly report on product performance, market share, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Line Manager, preferably in Drilling fluid handling .
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinking and a customer-centric mindset.
• Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies.
