Job Description
The Replenishment and Allocation Analyst at Lamps Plus is responsible for optimizing both Distribution Centers capacity and stores inventory levels to maximize sales, margin, and inventory productivity. Reporting to and working closely with the Merchandise Planner, this role involves developing store forecasts aligned with the merchant vision and merchandise planner, encompassing both channel and store planning. The R&A analyst ensures efficient allocation of product based on forecasts and promptly reacts to sales and inventory trends through effective exception management.
 
Responsibilities:  
  • Develop store forecasts in alignment with the merchant vision and merchandise plan.
  • Drive consensus among stakeholders regarding inventory levels, future orders, and store forecasts.
  • Conduct pre- and postseason analyses, collaborating with planners and merchants to formulate business strategies for upcoming selling periods.
  • Allocate inventory in stores/departments according to stock models and display planograms, ensuring execution monitoring.
  • Write and track replenishment orders to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Manage warehouse and store inventory levels, including turning off low-volume doors when necessary and submitting store-specific orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate re-orders for basic items, both domestic and imported.
  • Provide weekly sales reporting across all channels and analyze performance.
  • Support reporting efforts, including compiling selling data for merchandising and inventory planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and maintain high in-stocks based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with warehouse and IT teams on processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Review and adjust replenishment inventory models and forecasts periodically in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Develop allocation strategies for store/region planograms.
  • Collaborate with merchants and merchandise planners to formulate future business strategies.
  • Publish hindsight recap information for each fiscal period, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficient in multiple systems such as JDA Allocation & E3.
  • Provide analytics to support internal stakeholder needs.
  • Partner with distribution center operations to ensure seamless inventory flow based on transportation schedules and slotting.
  • Act as a continuous improvement advocate and change agent.
  • Analyze data to derive actionable insights aimed at driving sales.
  • Run and publish ad hoc reports as needed/requested.
What You Bring to the Table:   
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in business, finance, statistics, operations, supply chain.
  • 2-3 years of allocation and replenishment experience.
  • Strong communication skills - working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and solve to the best options available.
  • Continuous improvement and growth mindset.
  • Problem-solving skills - proactively recommends solutions to various stakeholders; can make decisions with limited information.
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze and understand quantitative data.
  • Strong computer skills with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new software technology. Systems used: JIRA, JDA Arthur Allocation, E3, Oracle, MicroStrategy, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Compensation: $68,000-$75,000 annually, depending on experience
