At Solterra, you will have the rare opportunity to join a large clinical team made up of clinical psychologists and social workers. Our multidisciplinary approach means you will work closely with occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physical therapists, our BCBA, and psychiatrist, as well as teachers, classroom support staff, nurses, and others.
At Solterra, students receive an array of clinical supports including individual and group therapy as well as family counseling, parent education and support, and crisis intervention. Our clinical team has the unique experience of having access to students throughout the day within the milieu setting allowing clinicians to observe and assess behaviors in real time. In addition, clinicians have the opportunity to support students as they progress through treatment without the time constraints typical of other outpatient settings. We believe in fostering an environment that is supportive, developmentally appropriate, and tailored to specific individual needs. As a Clinical Psychologist at Solterra Academy, you'll provide a wide array of clinical services including individual therapy, psychological assessments, crisis intervention, classroom consultation, creating individualized behavior plans, and case coordination.
Responsibilities
- Administer, score, interpret, and write formal integrated psychological evaluations for students aged 5-22.
- Determine student eligibility or continued eligibility for special education services based on assessment results.
- Present assessment outcomes in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings to the student's treatment team, parents/guardians, and the local educational agency.
- Participate in feedback meetings with school staff, as well as meetings with parents and guardians to address questions or concerns.
- Provide a wide range of clinical services to students and their families, including individual therapy, family counseling, and parent education and support.
- Engage in crisis intervention, classroom consultation, and the creation of individualized behavior plans.

- Post Doctoral Supervision available if needed
- Doctorate in Psychology
- Minimum of one year of supervised experience in a treatment setting for children and adolescents.
- Demonstrated proficiency in various assessment instruments, including cognitive assessments, projective measures, behavior rating scales, and adaptive rating scales.
