Senior Tax Analyst

Century Group is in search of an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join a team in the DTC area. Qualified candidates with 3+ years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.  Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $95,000 per year. Hybrid Position. 

Job Description:

• Manage and coordinate preparation of federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns, and income tax provisions

• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations

• Respond to notices from various taxing jurisdictions

• Participate in tax audits by gathering supporting documentation, preparing supporting workpapers and drafting responses

• Preparation of the annual and quarterly ASC 740 income tax provisions, reconciliation of tax accounts, and tax disclosures required for SEC reporting 

• Responsible for timely account reconciliations and required entries for all direct tax accounts.

• Monitor and interpret tax law changes and the impact on tax positions and calculations.

• Assist with all tax aspects of purchase accounting under ASC 805 and ASC 740 related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or dispositions

• Evaluation of goodwill and intangibles to ensure appropriate tax treatment.

• Support internal and external audit requirements

Requirements:

• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and ERP system skills

• BS in Accounting, Masters in Taxation, CPA

• 3-4 years of audit experience out of Big 4 firm 

• Tax provision experienced required 

• Large M&A activity experience 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels

• Able to work independently and take initiative

• Able to adapt to changing priorities
