Job Summary
Latham Marine has an immediate need for a CNC Programmer/Operator in Fort Lauderdale Florida. For over 40 years Latham Marine has been the leader in hydraulic steering systems for both high performance and pleasure boats. Responsibilities and Duties
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control for the effective manufacture of metal part
- Able to interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations, and setup
- Experience programming CNC code using Fusion 360
- Ability to set up and prove out programs on CNC machines
- Participate and provide input in design and project meetings
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- General knowledge of manual machining with the ability to hold a plus/minus .001 tolerance
Qualifications and Skills
- Candidate should have a minimum of 8 years general machine shop experience
- Ability to inspect parts to print tolerances
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills in English (both verbal & written).
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and / or work instructions.
- Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
- Experience using power tools
- Familiarity with machining processes
- Computer skills – Inventory Management software, Microsoft office
