Mortgage Banker

We are seeking an experienced mortgage loan officer with strong marketing, communication, and analysis skills to join our team and assist loan applicants in securing the ideal mortgage for their new home purchase. $200,000 at plan earnings

Responsibilities:

• Communicate a thorough understanding of different loan programs and closing costs to help prospective buyers make a decision
• Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with potential new business referral partners such as realtors, builders, bank colleagues, and the community at large
• Monitor the mortgage process to ensure all company and regulatory processes are adhered to
• Maintain an active rolling pipeline of funding per our guidelines
• Work closely with borrowers, loan officers, title companies/attorneys, or insurance companies to gather and prepare all documents needed to satisfy underwriting requirements

• Generate new business
• Take applications: to pre-qualify or pre-approve new clients
• Register and Disclose: Upon ratification of purchase contracts, register the loan with our wholesale lenders and issue the initial disclosures
• Oversight: Our processing team takes over to take the loans to the finish line. You keep an oversight to ensure things are on track

Qualifications:

• Banking, business, real estate, or related Bachelor’s degree required
• Current NMLS State License or Federal NMLS Registration
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations, and company underwriting policies and guidelines
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb interpersonal and customer service skills, and exceptional decision-making ability
• Understanding of loan originator software such as Experian, LendingWise, or Calyx, and Office Suite highly preferred

• You must have a Loan Originator license in at least "ONE" of these states: DC, VA or MD
