SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all work managed and executed out of our St. Louis, Missouri locations. The role of Construction Manager would include managing day-to-day activities of all staff working in the following trades: industrial maintenance, pipe fitting, mechanical piping, scaffold erecting, and insulation. The position is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and profitability of all work performed in the St. Louis region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise daily Pipe fitting, welding, and light mechanical/rigging activities.
  • Assess workforce, material, tool, and construction equipment needs and arranges for these components to support the needs of all projects.
  • Helps put together project estimates and drafts and submits proposals to prospective clients.
  • Able to analyze productivity trends and adjust work activities to optimize production.
  • Review cost reports and projections and act to effectively manage job costs to levels within the budget of the contract.
  • Enforce jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and the hth companies' Safety Program
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Acts as a liaison for all site leadership in their region and maintains positive client relations.
  • Actively audits all sites within region to review current work practices to identify and apply new opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviews and approves all purchase orders, manages costs, and cost reporting for client billing at each site within the region.
  • Actively mediates and resolves all client and employee issues and disputes.
  • Actively develops and maintains a high-performing team in their region that is dedicated to customer service.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have four (4) years of experience as a project manager or Piping Superintendent/Foreman and possess.
  • Ability to lay out projects and execute in effective manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety and administrative principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams and Office Suite or related software.

WORK AVAILABILITY:

  • This role works traditional business hours but does require some flexibility on evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL ABILITY

  • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

TRAINING

  • Must be to complete an OSHA 30 hour within 60 days of starting at hth companies.
