What You'll Do

We are looking for the best person to lead our American Games and International Gamco IT team, a team focused on providing best in class IT Help Desk, System Administration and Business Application support services.

As the IT Manager, you will be working very closely with your team and in many cases be hands-on with systems and applications. The IT environment is diverse with several modernization projects completed or underway in the past 12 months. You will be working with the latest Microsoft Technologies for desktop and servers along with a handful of Linux based systems. There are two legacy ERP systems that the current team supports, with a major project underway to upgrade both systems to IFS.

A successful candidate will have advanced system administration skills, proven business experience, project and change management experience, along with a problem?solving attitude and the ability to motivate your team to achieve specific goals.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Business Mindset

  • Must have a data tracking mindset where all support issues and requests are logged and closed in our Autotask IT Support tracking system.
  • Security focused and drive the process for ensuring systems are constantly monitored and updated with the latest security patches.
  • Ensure all backups both locally and to the cloud happen as defined in company backup policy without exceptions.
  • Work with other IT leaders to help design, develop, implement, support and coordinate policies, procedures and standards.
  • Partners closely with all AG/IG Executives and Directors to plan technology roadmaps.
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and providing feedback.
  • Oversees and monitors technical team performance metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Accountable for the department budget, invoice processing, expense tracking, and related reporting requirements.

Hands?On Skillset

  • Ensure that IT provides excellent local and remote support.
  • Perform hands?on troubleshooting for all types of issues (Virtual Servers, Cloud Systems and Servers, SaaS, Manufacturing systems, Backups/Restores).
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, and wired/wireless network connectivity problems.
  • Collect, analyze and report SLA and KPI metrics data for the production environment.
  • Update documentation.
  • Maintain IT Services Inventory.
  • Lead IT through audit activities.
  • Manage all aspects of multiple systems, including our Office 365 tenancy (Email, SharePoint, Teams, Users, Groups, Licenses, etc.).
  • Manage our ERP System (Vendor supported).
  • Manage VoIP System (Vendor supported).
  • Work closely with departmental managers to determine the maintenance and growth needs of IT systems.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

  • BS. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • 6+ years of successful experience in a technical leadership role with 4 or more years of experience in a supervisory capacity required.
  • Proven experience as an IT Manager.
  • IFS or other ERP System Support management experience.
  • Hands?on experience with all levels of IT operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills: ability to build working relationships with different personalities and work with all levels of management.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead a team of IT professionals: prepared to coach a team and provide constructive feedback.
  • Self-Starter
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
  • External candidates must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident.
