Job Summary:
Our Technicians supporting the Federal Aviation Administration Logistic Center (FAALC) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City, OK help assure that electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment meets serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements including assembling, repairing and refurbishing equipment, components, test fixtures, and prototypes; performing equipment performance analyses and data collection and reporting; and installing equipment and modifications in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards, orders, technical instructions, and quality procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works under the functional/operational supervision of the Shop Lead and/or Project Manager.
- Assembles, installs, adjusts, and repairs electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and components for NAS and Inter-Agency systems, including test fixtures and engineering prototypes. Conducts preventative maintenance and certification tests.
- This includes building and fixing items like cables, circuit boards, and test fixtures. Repairs involve tasks such as troubleshooting, replacing parts, and equipment disassembly/assembly.
- Completes applicable adjustment, testing, and certification processes on all items assembled or repaired.
- Performs and documents all tasks.
- Analyzes equipment performance to identify faults, gather engineering data, and verify functions under different conditions. Compiles and presents data from various sources.
- Conducts preventative maintenance and certification tests.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum High School diploma/GED.
- Prior experience with:
- Operation of boom man lifts.
- Operation of motorized fork lift.
- Ability to work at heights.
- NACI Clearance - ability to obtain Public Trust.
- Travel up to 75%.
Desired Qualifications:
- Wind turbine, tower climbing, derrickhand, oil & gas, maintenance, frac operator, CNC operator, and/or forklift experience can be an asset.
- Rope repelling / on rope work at heights.
- Perform installation, inspection, preventative maintenance, and replacement of tower components, cab glass, and radome panels.
