Overview:

The Interventional Radiology Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare setting, as they are responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations and interventional procedures under the direction of a radiologist. They are essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring accurate imaging results.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as MRI, CT scan, and X-ray machines
Assist radiologists during interventional procedures and surgeries
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures
Monitor patient vital signs and assess for any adverse reactions during procedures
Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images
Follow proper protocols for radiation protection for patients and staff
Document and maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Stay updated on new technologies and advancements in interventional radiology
