Paramedics and AEMT's

PA or NATIONALLY REGISTERED PARAMEDIC -OR- ADVANCED EMT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE APPLICATION. (Reciprocity to PA certification is required by PA DOH.)

HANOVER AREA FIRE & RESCUE is now accepting applications for Full Time and Part Time Paramedics and AEMT's. Come join the team of the area’s only fire-based EMS system that is responsible primarily for 911 emergency calls and the occasional intra-facility transport.

All salary and benefits are governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement and provide an annual base rate percentage increase each year.

Progressive Medical Director and Education Program.

EMS Staff Function Under the Career Fire Department Command Staff for Day-to-Day Operations.

Full-Time Staff Receive:

• Starting Base Rate: $53,820.00 Annually for Paramedics.
• Starting Base Rate: $46,800 Annually for AEMT's.
• Schedule: 24 on / 72 off (built-in overtime).
• Initial Uniforms are Provided with an Annual $300 Allowance ($150 for Part-time).
• 457 Retirement Plan with an Employer Percentage Match.
• Insurance: Health/Dental/Eye
• PTO & Sick Leave Accrual
• In-house Con-Ed and annual National Registry Recertification Classes.
• Holiday Pay at 1.5 times the hourly rate. Overtime on a holiday paid at double time.

Part-time Paramedics start at $23.00 / hour.

Part-time AEMT's start at $20.00 / hour.

Other requirements: PA Paramedic or AEMT with EVOC- ACLS-PALS-CPR-HAZMAT Awareness-NIMS-Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
