Registered Nurse (Circulating Nurse) - Surgery

Located in Wichita, KS, Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital (KSSH) is a regional center for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the spine, neck and joint. Dedicated to improving the quality of life of our patients, Kansas Spine practices a team approach, providing patients with access to a specialized team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, neuroradiologists, internal medicine physicians and nurses.

As an OR Circulating Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical procedures by managing the operating room environment and providing comprehensive patient care throughout the surgical process. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare team members to deliver exceptional care to our patients.

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including setup of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies.
• Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and other team members during surgical procedures by anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field.
• Document surgical procedures, patient information, and intraoperative events accurately and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergent situations in the operating room, including medical emergencies.

• Valid nursing license in KS
• Associates degree from an accredited college. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a circulating nurse role
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ability to obtain one in 60 days
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure surgical environments

Full time: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
